Children 2012

 

Mame Lena (10 YEARS)

Mame Lena has had her first intestinal surgery in 2010. Unfortunately there were no sufficient funds to redress the temporary solution of a stoma. In 2012 she had surgery two more times. Meanwhile she is doing good. Expenses were EUR 206, including the surgery (EUR 140), medication and transportation costs made by our intermediary.

ELHAJ (3 YEARS)

Three year old Elhaj has had surgery for the third and hopefully last time. He has had problems with his kidneys and urinary tract for some time. We wish him a quick recovery.

ABDOU COUMBA (8 YEARS)

Abdou Coumba has had a few check ups in the hospital. He suffers from Hirsprung’s disease, a congenital abnormality which induces the absence of part of the intestinal nerves resulting in severe constipation; this has been surgically removed in 2011.

MaMOUR (10 YEARS)

In 2004 Mamour lost both his legs due to a train accident when he was two years old. With his prostheses and crutches he is fairly mobile and able to walk to school independently. Now that he is ten years old, he will need new prostheses again, which will be manufactured for hem near upon.

FATOU BINTA (5 YEARS)

Five year old Fatou Binta had a hospital appointment for pre-anesthesia. Unfortunately her blood values were not good, so the inguinal hernia surgery could not be scheduled yet. At the moment she receives medication for anemia. We hope she can be operated quickly.

MaLICK (2 YEARS)

Two year old Malick is being treated for problems with his urinary tract and bladder. At the moment he has had a few analyses and receives medication.

SERIGNE FALOU

In November 2012 Serigne Falou has had inguinal hernia surgery. His family paid for the necessary medical examinations but did not have sufficient resources to pay for the hernia surgery. Fortunately he received this surgery with the aid of Petite Cobi Foundation. Expenses were EUR 197.

MamADOU (4 YEARS)

In February 2012 four year old Mamadou has had surgery for his inguinal hernia and healed well. Expenses amounted EUR 250, including surgery of EUR 84, analyses, medication and communication and transport costs made by our intermediary.

WORÉ (19 YEARS)

Woré has had heart surgery in 2010 with the financial aid of Petite Cobi Foundation. In 2012 she had an echography checkup; she is doing fine and is awaiting a follow-up appointment with the cardiologist.
